Personnel, Training and Employment
All office staff have undertaken training on customer service and have participated in our in-house training.
Our staff have vast years of experience. We have skilled staff in lead works, fibreglassing and all types of pitched roofing.
The management team regularly attend meetings with our construction staff to update them on new regulations and new types of materials.
All staff are regularly assessed in terms of skills and performance and where identified the relevant training is arranged.
Our senior management hold a black CSCS card N/SVQ level 5. Operatives are all currently working towards obtaining gold level 3 advanced crafts/supervisory cards and blue level 2/3 experienced worker cards.
Supply Chain
In order to provide the best level of service possible we believe that a good supply chain is essential.
With this in mind we have spent time and effort establishing good relationships with all our major suppliers and merchants:-
The relationships we have formed with our supply chain benefit ourselves and our customers in several ways in return for our loyalty, volume and long term certainty:-
- Prices – we are able to negotiate the best possible prices.
- We have direct accounts with Lafarge Roofing (Redland), Marley Eternit and other major roofing suppliers.
- After sales support – we are given priority status when requesting any type of roofing material with a 'no questions asked' policy thus speeding up the whole process.
- Product training – our roofing team are given regular product training and familiarization courses on existing and new products.
- Warranties – All works are carried out to manufacturers specifications to obtain manufactures warranties/guarantees.
Some of the above benefits afforded to us by our supply chain benefit our customers in terms of being able to offer the best available service and the most competitive prices.
Methodology
We have been carrying out these types of works over the past 30 years which has given our company a vast experience in working with tenants and completing projects in safe working conditions. We are always developing and improving our systems and service.
At Rowsell Roofing Ltd we are quick to embrace and utilize any new technology or innovation which we believe can be of benefit both to ourselves and our customers.
Fully computerized office system backed up by our accountants IT support team.
Our operatives have various skills and are able to carry out all types of roofing works, for example: -
- Repairs to roof timbers
- Construction of new cut roofs
- Chimney re-point or rebuild including gable ends
- Lead works dressing and welding
This enables us to over come any roof problem with out cause of delay to the project.
Sustainability
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT
The company recognizes that its activities have an impact on the environment and is committed to improve its environmental performance and minimize the harmful effects through caring policies and effective management.
The company accepts and acknowledges its obligations and responsibilities under legislation and guidance dealing with environmental issues that effect or arise in consequence of its business.
The company will apply the methodology of its Environmental Management System (EMS) to identify and determine the environmental issues requiring attention and implementation of the measures to achieve improvement.
Health & Safety
Overall and final responsibility for health and safety at Rowsell Roofing Ltd is that of Mr Peter Rowsell, the director is responsible for safety.
Rowsell Roofing Ltd are also members of the Building Safety Group who carry out regular checks on our sites to ensure that all employees are kept aware of their responsibilities to the Health and Safety Law.
The company will comply with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, and other relevant legislation and meet the standards required to protect all of our employees and any person likely to be affected by our work operations.
The objective of this policy is to attain and maintain high standards of health and safety performance throughout the company and detail the standards expected of employees and sub-contractors who under take work on its behalf.
Hazards will be identified and the risk of injury, disease or dangerous occurrence will be minimized by the achievement and maintenance of high standards of health and safety.
