A new private dwelling within the Somerset area.
The main roof coverings are a traditional clay plain tile produced at Imerys' Phalempin factory in northern France. The tile is available in a unique range of mellow natural colours and with the purpose made club tiles are designed to add distinction.
The cupola roof coverings are a natural Burlington Blue Grey Slate and has been quarried in the English Lake District for more for more than 300 Years from slate deposits formed during the Silurian Period, over 330 million years ago.
Each of the slates had to be individually cut to suit the curvature of the cupola and set off with the distinctive hand crafted scalloped slates.
The finishing touch to the cupola is the lead crowning, fabricated on site, again scalloped to blend with the natural roof coverings.
